White Plains, NY – July 11, 2016   RestorixHealth, a leader in developing and managing comprehensive wound healing and Amputation Prevention Center® facilities, is pleased to announce it has finalized the acquisition of Metairie, Louisiana-based Wound Care Specialists, the largest operator of wound care and hyperbaric centers in critical access hospitals in the United States.

The Wound Care Specialists (WCS) acquisition will add another 80 centers to RestorixHealth’s current portfolio for a combined total of over 200 centers in 30 states. The combined companies will create one of the largest networks of wound care service providers in the industry, managing programs in both acute care and critical access hospitals.

“We believe Wound Care Specialists’ expertise in critical access hospital-based wound centers will round-out our service offerings,” said RestorixHealth CEO Steve McLaughlin. “As there continues to be greater integration between critical access hospitals and acute care hospitals, this complementary combination of wound care management companies will position RestorixHealth to meet the needs of integrated hospital systems and their patients in all markets.”

McLaughlin continued, “With an increased reach and combined, diverse staff, our partners and patients will have the advantage of being part of a stronger nationwide company, well-positioned to meet the needs of those suffering from non-healing wounds.”

Duff & Phelps Securities, LLC, provided representation for Wound Care Specialists. Financial terms have not been disclosed. Wound Care Specialists will continue to operate under its business name and maintain its corporate headquarters based in Metairie, Louisiana.
